A Souldrops mission is simple: to create cleaning and detergent products that are efficient, environmentally friendly and safe for both people and the planet. We are proud that our products have been awarded the EU EcoLabel certification - one of the most rigorous and recognised environmental labels in Europe.

From EU EcoLabel, also known as EU Ecolabel, not just a symbol on the packaging. It is an independent, official certification that our products throughout their life cycle have a lower environmental impact - from production to post-use degradation.

What is EU EcoLabel certification?

From EU EcoLabel is a certification scheme, supervised by the European Commission since 1992, which strict criteria the eco-label is awarded on the basis of. Only products that:

  • Reduced environmental impact throughout the life cycle

  • They do not contain harmful or unnecessary chemicals

  • Energy- and water-efficient can be used in the following ways

  • Their packaging recyclable, made from responsibly sourced materials

  • Independent organisation are controlled and authorised by

The certificate is a clear guarantee that Souldrops products do indeed meet these strict requirements.

For us, achieving EcoLabel certification was not a goal, but a natural step on the path we have been on from the beginning:

What is checked during certification?

The EU EcoLabel does not give its logo away easily. The certification process includes testing:

  1. Safety of ingredients - the use of certain allergens, toxic chemicals and microplastics is prohibited

  2. Efficiency - the product must have a proven track record of good cleaning

  3. The environmental impact of the manufacturing process - energy and water use, waste management

  4. The packaging - from minimal, recyclable, sustainable sources

  5. The whole life cycle - from raw material procurement to degradation

EcoLabel = real quality and confidence

Many products now use the words “green” and “eco”, but often without official verification behind them.
However, the EU EcoLabel independent, credible and traceable - the certificate is always for specific products, not just the brand.
